Sometimes I really, really love art. My own? Not so much. (or week two self assessment)

Well honestly, I'm not too proud of either of these. Mostly because value has always been very difficult for me. I have trouble adding lighter gradients and highlights to objects and shapes that I've manage to give the dark gradients. It's the opposite when it comes to objects I've given lighter gradients. I have trouble giving them dark shadows and gradients. When I do I can't mange to make it blend together.

However, I do know how to use the gradients to make the shape look realistic and to give it shape. (It only took three years and two different art classes). I also understand perspective and light and I believe I manage that in these two assignments. Mostly on the wineglass, which you can see better in the picture below.
